HOW AND WHERE DID YOU MEET:
We met on Plenty of Fish lol. He contacted me a couple times. I wasn’t going to respond because he was too gorgeous. Figured his intentions weren’t on the up and up. Luckily he messaged me one more time and said “I’ve said it before and I know you must hear this a thousand times a day, but I’m going to say it again. You are absolutely stunning!”
I messaged him back and said ” I know you must hear this a thousand times a day, but I could drown in those blue eyes!”
We started chatting and decided to meet for a drink that evening. We were going to meet after I cut hair for the homeless that night but the event got cancelled so we met much earlier than originally planned.
I knew the minute I saw him. He smiled his beautiful charming smile. His blue pool eyes sparkled at me and I literally thought to myself ‘I am in so much trouble’. We hit it off immediately and spent the next 6 hours talking, laughing, and just enjoying each other’s company. Oh and a rat the size of cat that joined the party…eeeeek!
We had our first real date the next night and we have been together every day since.
WEDDING THEME: Old hollywood/vintage
THE WEDDING DAY:
The day started with us eating at a sweet little diner called Maxine’s Diner down off the strip. It wasn’t our intended destination but it was definitely worth it. The place smelled of sweetness and was just adorable.
We then went back to our hotel, The D, down on Freemont St. and got ourselves put together to hit the Rat City Rukkus. That was our original reason for going to Vegas, business, and then to hit Viva but we never made it to Viva, lol. So we spent the day with the rat rods and friends until we went back to the hotel and took all my bridal gear to the Golden Nugget to start getting ready with my maid of honor at 3pm. The guys got ready at our hotel room.
They went on down and hung out on Fremont before the wedding where the groom had to fend off “street entertainers” lol.
My maid of honor and I had a blast getting ready together. I did my own hair and makeup and she had someone come in to do hers.
Once ready we walked to the chapel. It was windy. We passed a group of 8-10 brides/grooms and a camera crew. It was super fun to visit with them.
The chapel was absolutely adorable. I was given away by our dear friend Jim Davis aka Jimmy Smooth. The service was perfect and loving. I have never seen my groom so happy except when he proposed. I cried.
We went to dinner afterwards then back to the hotel to change and to the Stratosphere to hang out with the rat rod guys. We were exhausted and elated at the end of the night.
It was perfect!
