WEDDING DATE: Saturday 24th of November 2018
WEDDING LOCATION: Lorne, Victoria Australia
.HOW AND WHERE DID YOU MEET:
Kieran and I met, when I was walking my room mates dogs. We both admired each others tattoos. Kieran always remains he was worried he was going to get mauled by the Husky & Rottie I was walking.
WEDDING THEME: Rockabilly
THE WEDDING DAY:
Our Wedding Day was everything we had hoped for. It started off with bad weather, this caused a panic regarding our ceremony & photos, that was going to happen down at the Waterfall.
1 hour before the Wedding, it was a beautiful overcast day.
We always wanted a funny and exciting wedding, without the lime light on us the whole time.
The Ceremony was the most nerve racking part, I walked down the Aisle to “Song #3” By Stone Sour and we left to “With Me” Sum 41.
My Bouquet was from Desflora in Hallam, I had chosen artificial flowers and we made paper novel flowers from my favourite Book – Harry Potter.
Unfortunately we had many grandparents who were no longer around to join us, so we decide to represent them in my bouquet, and other features in our wedding:
– The Thomson Family Tartan was wrapped around the bouquet and Pins (Kieran’s Grandpa)
– A turtle earring was in the roses (Kieran’s Nana’s favourite pair)
– A photo of my Double nana made into a locket was wrapped around the bouquet (My Great Nana)
-Sherbert Bombs in the Lolly Bar (Kieran’s Pa’s favourite lolly)
– A brooch was given to me by my Great Nana who was unable to travel the distance.
We loved that all these memories and family could be apart of our day, in other ways.
Our Photos were fun and relaxed, I had always wanted our Photo’s done at the Rainforest. So we drove 20min, (if felt longer, the Kombi was struggling with the hills). We then got to hike up and down the 100 + steps, lucky I had some amazing converse to wear, painted up by our close friend Celeste.
A bride climbing the slippery rocks and mud in a white dress was eye turning.
The reception, many of our friends & family came down to Lorne, on the friday night and helped set up.
We had a cocktail wedding, full of fun and with our fun inviting tables:
A Tattoo Bar
We could not have wished for a better day/night, only that it didn’t go so fast.
Many of our Guest were not use to our style of event, by the end of the night most guests had some sort of fake tattoo on them, and they were enjoying the night away.
We had many compliments, on what an amazing and different wedding our wedding was.

We had a range of Cocktail canapé & Entree’s.
The waiter’s seem to know that I loved pork belly, so I don’t really remember eating anything else.
I put together our Lolly Bar, with macaron & merginues from little miss meringue @ittlemissmeringue.
I made our wedding cake which was fake, and we had a cupcake tower with a range of flavours from bacon maple to red velvet.
WHAT DID THE BRIDESMAIDS WEAR:
The Bridemaids wore Midnite Dress by @heartsandrosesldn
Our flower girls dress was custom made by Natalie’s Creations Couture
ANY AWESOME BUDGET SAVING IDEAS:
DIY as much as you can, we did every thing from Lolly bar, all the Graphic design, table settings, painting wine & beer bottles, to making temporary tattoos.
Also it doesn’t hurt to ask what is the best price they can offer. I was often too scared to ask, but was pushed to, and I was amazed at the $$$ I was saving.
WEDDING FAVOURS: We chose to have a Lolly Bar & Photo Booth
TIPS FOR FUTURE BADASS BRIDES: The Day goes so fast, so slow down and enjoy the moment, tell your future husband no sunnies at the ceremony.
