We had a Sailor Jerry rum based rock and roll wedding, based on our love of tattoos, and the 1950’s. We got married in a register office. We didn’t have the traditional sit down meal. We had a Caribbean buffet, and dessert was wedding cake! 4 different flavours. Our guests loved the relaxed feel and partied until 1am!
Our car was a 1951 Buick called daisy, and was an absolute dream. We didn’t not want to stick to the norm at all and really wanted our day to represent who we are as a couple! My Stepson was Our best man, and our two teenage boys were ring bearers. The whole day was amazing with Sailor Jerry shots, banging music and a party that had all on the dance floor. After 20 years together our wedding was long overdue and a good opportunity to embarrass our children on the dance floor!
My dress was a white Rose tea length 50s style with a red Satin belt and red trim on the petticoats. I purchased my dress from Fairygothmother in east London. I felt like a sassy princess in my dress and am currently trying to think of an excuse to wear it again!
